Hi there! The end of your rental period is approaching and soon it’s time to move out. We hope that you treated our place as if it were yours and that you had a great time.
Please follow these steps to avoid any additional costs, that is why we prepared this checklist for you.
REPAIR OR REPLACE
If you broke something tiny and you can replace it, please replace it.
If you broke something bigger, please let us know so we have enough time to order or repair this item before the next tenant moves in. Those additional costs will be deducted from your deposit.
CLEANING
As you remember you got a clean apartment from us. Please clean the complete apartment before you handover the keys to us to avoid any additional costs.
#1 Clean the dishwasher inside.
#2 Clear any clogged drains in the sink.
#3 Clean all countertops and wipe cabinets.
#4 Clean stove, oven and extractor hood. Gently clean the stovetop with a glass ceramic cleaner. Don’t use a knife!
#5 Clean the fridge throughout.
#6 Wash the curtains.
#7 Clean the coffee machine and kettle.
If you have any leftovers f.e. oil, closed cans, etc. you can leave that in the apartment.
#8 Sanitize shower, sink and toilet.
#9 Clean vanity, shelves and mirrors.
#10 Wash all tiles and clean grout.
#11 Leave us one fresh and clean bedsheet set and one towel set. Your current used bedsheet and towel set, just leave on the bed, our cleaning team will do the rest.
#12 Vacuum and clean the floors in all rooms.
No problem. If you don’t want to clean, we will charge 150 EUR* for normal usage and deduct those costs from your deposit. Just let us know!
*If it’s extremely dirty we will charge extra, depending on how many hours it takes the cleaning team.
DE-REGISTER FROM OUR APARTMENT
If you registered in this apartment with Meldezettel, please de-register from this apartment. We need a confirmation from your de-registration „Bestätigung der Meldung“ otherwise we can’t transfer the deposit back.
At the bottom of the Meldezettel you find a box with „ABMELDUNG der Unterkunft …“, please fill out this box with our apartment address. If you already have a new apartment, additionally fill out the box with „ANMELDUNG der Unterkunft …“
This time you don’t need our signature. Just send this form via email to the Magistrat, depending on the district you registered in.
Once the de-registration is completed, you will receive a residence registration certificate (Bestätigung der Meldung) via mail or directly there. Please send us this certificate via WhatsApp.

HANDOVER
Please let us know what day and time you prefer for your moving out day. We will try to schedule like you need it.
We will check the apartment based on our handover protocol. You will receive this handover protocol as well. The whole process needs around 15-20 minutes.
The deposit is just in case you break something during your stay or the apartment is messy or something is missing at the check-out day. If no damages occur and the apartment is clean you will get back that deposit after your check-out.
Please let us know your current IBAN/bank details where we should send your deposit. Afterwards you will receive it within 10 business days after your move-out day via transfer.
